"Where Art meets Heart"

Hello, I’m Margaret Rattigan, an Irish artist living in Boyle, County Roscommon. I grew up on a farm in Drumreilly, just outside Ballinamore in County Leitrim, alongside my eight siblings. Being surrounded by nature and wildlife from an early age gave me a love of the natural world that continues to inspire my work today.

I’m a self-taught artist and love experimenting with colour, texture and new techniques. My inspiration comes from the landscapes and sea views of the west and northwest of Ireland, from iconic places such as Benbulben and Lough Key to something as simple as a daisy growing at a dainty angle in my garden.

Colour is at the heart of my work. I want my paintings and prints to bring joy, evoke memories and create a connection to places and moments that mean something to us. Many of my limited-edition prints are individually finished by hand with touches of gold or silver.

I also create Art Jewellery, taking tiny details from my paintings and turning them into miniature pieces of wearable art, including earrings and pendants.

Authenticity, professionalism and looking after my customers are very important to me. I also try to make thoughtful, sustainable choices by reusing materials where possible and reducing unnecessary waste.

Above all, I hope my work brings a little colour, joy and magic into everyday life.
