Stepping into Stillness: My Solo exhibition "When Time Stands Still" at Solas Art Gallery Ballinamore County Leitrim

I am excited to share a bit about my solo exhibition, When Time Stands Still currently showing at Solas Art Gallery in Ballinamore. This collection is close to my heart because it explores those rare moments when everything seems to pause- when nature, time and stillness come together in perfect harmony.

Growing up surrounded by the peaceful landscapes of County Leitrim, I've always been inspired by the subtle beauty found in natures quiet corners. In this exhibition, I've tried to capture that feeling : the soft light on leaves, the sheer beauty of a swan landing on a lake, the textures that really invite you to slow down and see. For me these paintings are an invitation to step away from the rush of everyday life and find calm in the present moment.

I enjoy experimenting with different mediums- acrylics, watercolour and water based oils and blending these techniques has allowed me to create layers and depth that bring my subjects to life. Each piece reflects not just what I see, but how those moments make me feel.

When Time Stands still  is more then just a collection of paintings; it is a reflection on time itself and the importance of pausing to appreciate the world around us and embracing the present or look back with nostalgia on the past.

I am humbled by the warm response from the community and visitors and grateful for the opportunity to share my work in such a lovely space.
